OUCH, lets not look at the date on my last post. Yes i'm still alive, although this site may not reflect much life. By not posting does not mean not much has been happening. Actually this summer has been very good with many awesome events keeping it exciting. Some highlights being: NY City youth trip, camping in Virginia, Church picnic, teaching vbs, hanging out with friends, and much more. Also just this friday and saturday i helped with the moving of Atlee's mother in law from virginia to PA. Was a great trip, drove and road with Marcus the entire driving time. Spent friday night at the Glenns place. Had a blast throwing mostly rotten vegitables, eating out, watching movies, and not sleeping. Got only one and half hrs of sleep and still drove home saturaday. I must brag about one aspect of the vegitable battle. I bulls eyed a very rotten tomato on a very running Kendall, yet I still avoided 3 tomato assasination attempts (they took the fight to suprise attacks instead of open battle). I survived one through a good reflexive duck, the rest mostly from bad aims. The most deadly attempt accured inside involving an entire large tomato and an unsuspecting me emerging from the safety of the bathroom. Tomato impact accured at head level 1 to 2 feet to my left. Impact would have been deadly, not only for my, but more so for the attacker. Clean up of that attemp brought the fight to an end. Shrapnal from the tomato littered walls, cealing, and floor. I ammerged alive with zero tomato damage and minimal zuchini shoved down my shirt. In an attempt to recover from the trip i slept 13 hrs last night, and still took a nap this afternoon.
Several observations from the past several months...
- NY city is awesome ( and guess what, its full of people and i mean very full), ethnic food is great to experience and fun to eat (even pig intestines), evangalizm can be very hard and challenging yet very rewarding, my youth group is the GREATEST (period). (at least i think so)
- VBS is awesome, teaching is challenging yet fun (if they listen), interacting with the kids is the best part, working with the liveliest group is the best
- life is awesome!!!!
- updating xanga doesnt happen often ( but you all keep updating regurally because i enjoy reading your updates) ( if it goes too long befor my next update, you may remind me with choicely worded comments)
